Interactive Flash Presentation Session
The Interactive Flash Presentation is a newly designed format that TYCA-NE first offered during the 2025 conference - and it was a success! This format allows presenters to share a five-minute overview of a practice, idea, or research and then entertain questions in a social event open to all attendees. This format also allows for more opportunities to meet colleagues from throughout the TYCA-NE Community and share projects that may be in early stages of development.
You are welcome to use varied presentation styles for this format, including traditional printed posterboards, digital presentations, laptop-based posters, printed handouts, and/or other ways to quickly share information with attendees. Specifically, the presentation should invite discussions about the topic you share.
The format:
-
Each presenter will have a table in the main salon to set up their laptop or other materials.
-
Presenters will remain with their laptops/materials and over the course of 45 minutes and attendees of the conference will move from presentation to presentation interacting with the presenters about their work.
Topics that are ideal for this format:
-
Classroom Activities
-
Ongoing Research
-
Demonstration of digital tools in English education
We suggest approaching this presentation style with three goals in mind:
-
Keep your presentation topic focused and brief;
-
Cover the basics for attendees;
-
Connect with the audience.
